REVIEWS

What advice would you give to someone considering taking this course?

Anonymous: It depends on what you are aiming for, I wouldn't overload if I was aiming for A-.

What did you enjoy or find most useful from this course?

Anonymous: I enjoyed the labs, they made me realize how weak I was at chemistry in practice. I thought 6 hour labs are too long, but I did took almost 6 hour for each lab, because I couldn't follow the instructions well. I think understanding the steps (like why they do that) would help speed up the process and help you make less mistakes.

What aspects of the course did you find most challenging, and why?

Anonymous: The first half (Spectroscopy) was much easier than the second half (Organic Reactions and Mechanisms), despite both having similar teaching time. I did fairly well for the first half and labs, so I underestimated the second half, procrastinated and it pulled my grade heavily due to the 50% final exam (and no S/U too :C )

What resources did you find most helpful in helping you better understand the course material?

Anonymous: Youtube, ChatGPT, Clayden's exercise and lecture/tutorial exercises.

What resources did you find most helpful in helping you better understand the course material?

Anonymous: I took only CHS mods along with this because I was afraid that it's hard. It actually turned out to be hard for me at least.
