What advice would you give to someone considering taking this course?
Anonymous: One can overload it with other 3k core mods as the workload of this mod is super low. However, lectures are not recorded and no attendance is taken. There are 2 weekly lectures (each for about 1 hour only) and no tutorial at all. There are practice questions at the end of every lesson, and Prof Park gives us some time to do and review answers together. Questions are mostly simple calculations using formulas learnt in that lesson.
What did you enjoy or find most useful from this course?
Anonymous: The content is more relevant to real life. Knowledge is less technical. Prof Park is very nice and one can easily ask her questions after class.
What aspects of the course did you find most challenging, and why?
Anonymous: Formulas are not provided in the exam, so one needs to memorise all the formulas covered in class(around 10 in total). Exams mostly test class content, which makes it like an arts class that requires a lot of memorisation.
What resources did you find most helpful in helping you better understand the course material?
Anonymous: Practice questions provided in slides and on Canvas.
What other courses do you think should be taken before or concurrently with this course?
Anonymous: Any Inorganic chemistry course, as the content might be similar.
